The currently used video encoding formats are H.264 (launched in 2003) and H.265 (launched in 2013). H.264 is a new development after MPEG4 jointly proposed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). A generation of digital video compression formats; H.265 is a new video coding standard developed by ITU-T VCEG following H.264. In actual use, 265 is much better than 264. Under the same high-resolution video, 265 saves one-third of the bandwidth compared to 264. However, the current live broadcast platform only supports H.264, so despite the many benefits of H.265, H.264 still dominates the mainstream market.
