What exactly is HD? Maybe many people still know nothing about 1080P. When you see a digital TV in an advertisement, you will always say that it supports the 1080i/1080P standard, not to mention that there are several TV sets currently available on the market that can meet this requirement. Let's take a look at what 1080i and 1080P mean - both 1080i and 720p are internationally recognized digital high-definition television standards. The letter i stands for interlaced scanning and the letter P stands for progressive scan. And 1080, 720 represents the resolution that can be reached in the vertical direction. 1080P is the highest specification home HD signal format.

The digital high-definition television often referred to means that digital technology is used throughout the broadcast and reception of a series of television signals such as shooting, editing, production, broadcasting, transmission, and reception. Digital high-definition television is the most advanced type of digital television (DTV) standard, abbreviated as HDTV. It is a high-resolution television with at least 720 horizontal scanning lines, a 16:9 widescreen mode, and multi-channel transmission. There are three types of HDTV scan formats: 1280*720p, 1920*1080i, and 1920*1080p. In China, 1920*1080i/50Hz is used.

HDV, its standard concept is to develop a home camcorder that can easily record high-quality, high-definition images. The HDV standard can be used with existing DV tapes as a recording medium. In this way, by using a digital camcorder, development costs can be reduced and development efficiency can be improved. High-definition digital video cameras can guarantee "originality" and do not degrade image quality when playing video. According to this standard, high-definition pictures can be recorded on commonly used DV tapes with better sound quality. The pictures taken by this standard camera can reach 720 lines of progressive scanning (resolution of 1280*720) and 1080 lines of interlaced scanning (resolution of 1440*1080). The Sony HC1E uses 1080 line interlaced scanning.
