According to the "2016-2017 China LED Lighting Export Monthly Monitoring Report" released by the High-tech Research Institute LED Research Institute (GGII), the total export value of China's LED panel lights in January 2017 reached US$81.2 million, a year-on-year increase of 109%. It is second only to industrial and mining lamps, floodlights and street lamps, and ranks fourth in terms of year-on-year growth rate.

As predicted by GGII in 2015, the panel lights in January 2017 have surpassed LED tubes and bulbs, making it the largest export LED lighting item.
GGII believes that the amount of panel light exports in January 2017 has increased significantly, mainly for the following reasons:
(1) Product characteristics: LED panel light design is simple and elegant, and the atmosphere is luxurious. It not only has good lighting effects, but also brings beautiful feelings. The light passes through the light guide plate with high light transmittance to form a uniform planar light-emitting effect, and the illumination uniformity is good and the light is soft.
(2) Product demand: LED panel light is a typical representative of commercial lighting and office lighting. It can replace the use of grid light and downlight products in many occasions.
(3) Product technology and price: Previously limited to technology and price factors, the performance of LED panel lights in the market has been unsatisfactory. However, with the improvement of technology and the reduction of price, LED panel lights have gradually matured and been recognized and accepted by consumers, and the market penetration rate has gradually increased.
Second, export destination analysis
According to the "2016-2017 China LED Lighting Export Monthly Monitoring Report" released by GGII, the top ten destinations of China's LED panel lights in January 2017 accounted for 52% of the total. According to GGII's "2016-2017 China LED Lighting Export Monthly Monitoring Report" data, in January 2017, China's top 10 LED panel lights accounted for 15% of the total.
