Ok, I’m here, I’m not sending out the purpose of this article, but because I’ve really touched the real machine of Avery and AK120, and I’ve done a lot of trials and auditions. So, you know, if you are interested, just look down.

At the beginning, what I want to explain is that the AK120 on hand is a display machine that was shipped directly from Germany (who participated in the Muni and Sound Show and Astell&Kern conference). It has not been officially confirmed whether it is the final official retail version. However, the hard quality should be roughly finalized. In addition, the photo is taken casually with a mobile phone, which is a bunch of relatively sloppy slag maps.

Although I know that the AK120 body is a little longer than the AK100, but when I first saw the real machine, I really didn't recognize it as AK120. I also used AK100 for more than half a year, but the two machines are not. If you put them together, you really don't feel that the AK120 will be significantly longer, but it is easy to distinguish between the AK100 and the AK120 from the volume knob.

It is obvious that the AK120 is a little longer when the holster is removed, and the AK120 that is really longer when it is operated will be firmer in the hand.

The volume knob of the AK100 was a place that was spit out. Because the knob is protruding, the damping is relatively loose, it is easy to accidentally touch, and the feel is not calculated. Therefore, this time the AK120 paid special attention to this problem, and increased the anti-smashing bulge. At the same time, the damping of the knob itself was slightly larger, and the knob feel was greatly improved.

The top interface buttons are the same, or only the headphone output, fiber optic input and output, and no Line Out output. Can't LO I don't think it doesn't matter, because whether it is AK100 or AK120, the design is to achieve the best possible sound quality with the smallest possible size. If the amp is bundled, the portability will be lost and it will not be worth the candle. With the light input and output functions, the AK120 can be used as a digital turntable or a decoder. If you like to toss, the AK120 can also have a lot of gameplay.

Let's talk about the playback interface, similar to the AK100 style, but with some changes, the AK120 is not a simple plain text menu. When you start up, you will see a graphical song sorting interface.

There is a change in the equalizer, mainly adding a "professional equalizer" option. The current machine is the initial firmware. There is no more specific parameter adjustment interface after the selection. I don't know if the official version of the firmware will be the same. . In terms of hearing, after selecting "Professional Equalizer", there is no obvious change in the sound at present.

In addition, a "seamless play" function has been added, that is, when a piece of music is played, when switching to the next piece of music, there is no such pause interval in the middle, which is completely coherent.

Finally talk about the sound, the headset is AKG K3003, and TF10 and SWD2, the contrast player, no HM901 is regarded as the main opponent, only some recording pens, although the sound quality is not top, but it is also said more past product.

For the sound of the AK100, I think the most dissatisfied place is that its voice is too weak, lacking a strong momentum, the eruption is still so slow, the quality and thrust are not too much, there is a complete listening style. The machine is a popular material, and the instrument and the classical are not perfect.

The sound of the AK120 is completely another scene. When I first opened it, the first song happened to be the California guest house. Although the song was heard countless times, the MQS high quality (24bit 192Khz) California under the AK120 The guest house gave me a completely different feeling. The amount of information is not huge, and the details are well organized and the space is very good. When I heard this voice, my first thought at the time was: This is mostly the credit of K3003, but when I changed to TF10, the sound quality was also very high, and there was no obvious gap with K3003, and K3003 was inserted into the other. When the player is, the sound becomes very blurry and much worse. So you can be sure that this is indeed the high quality of the AK120.

After listening to a number of songs, there are some classics, as well as songs with strong rhythm, and the AK120's transients and dynamics are very good, the sound is very fierce and overbearing, the quiet time is quiet, the bursting The time will burst immediately, after listening to it, I don't feel loud: the sound of AK120 is too violent! This is a far cry from the soft sound of the AK100.

After listening to the AK120, after switching back to ZK, SXK, L300, PAW-VE, I found that the AK120 and their sound are not a grade, no matter what. As for the HM901, I have heard it before, but different headphones, different environments and different music can not be compared by memory, but in terms of subjective impression, the voice of this AK120 gives me a deeper impression.

The national first test of AK100 was written by me. At that time, my evaluation of the sound of AK100 was not so high. Later, it turned out that the evaluation opinions written by others after listening to it were similar to mine. This time I am greatly appreciative of the sound of the AK120. I think my ears should not be too biased. So I want to say that if you put aside the price, the sound of the AK120 should still be expected.
