When the Chinese VR brand Dlodlo released the world's thinnest VR glasses in April of this year, I was skeptical. It sounds unreal because it sounds too good. In an event in New York this Monday, I experienced a pair of V1 glasses. Have to say, let me impress, even magic!

VR glasses can be as clumsy as they seem to be.
The V1 is an ultra-light VR eyeglass that looks lighter than those VR eyeglasses that are often seen, such as Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Samsung Gear. What's more, the V1 is an all-in-one, which means you don't need to connect to a PC or mobile phone to have a VR experience (this Android-based hardware module is close to the iPod touch).
The V1 uses carbon fiber and weighs only 88 grams. The lens is only 1.7cm thick and does not have a stretch strap.

V1 is both stylish and portable, and as long as you have the opportunity to experience it, you will be convinced. In order to better balance different people, different sizes of replaceable nose pads have also been designed. If you don't use a nose pad, it's light and thin should make me more comfortable.
Even more surprising is the V1's image quality, with a screen resolution of 2560×1440 (2K), which is higher than any sharp VR device I've experienced before. Thanks to the 800ppi single pixel quality, I hardly felt any discomfort caused by the screen effect.

I have always been worried that light leakage in all directions of the VR glasses will affect the visual experience. However, V1's excellent engineering design has obviously taken this into consideration. In the gaming experience, its refresh rate is high, and I hardly notice the delay that is very common on other devices.

The V1 has a 105° field of view, which is 4° more than the Samsung new Gear VR.
The problem of connecting lines is clearly another issue that Dlodlo hopes to solve. As I mentioned earlier, the V1 is used in combination with the Dlodlo D1, but it should be more in line with the needs of the public without external devices. The D1 uses a 4-core processor and 3000 mAh battery and can support 2-3 hours of VR video playback.
Of course, V1 can also be compatible with a PC or smartphone via a cable, such as the LG 360 VR.

This product will start on Kickstarter for $559, which is cheaper than Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
With this all-in-one, Drogdlo is planning to release a VR app store for content development in VR.
Frankly speaking, I only experienced a short time, but I have been completely conquered. This is the future of VR glasses.
