Reporter: How does the hammer solve the problem of financing difficulties?
Luo Yonghao: Sometimes I am very emotional. I haven’t been so good in my five years of business. I told my friends that financing is always very difficult and very tired. They are very broken. They say that you have 890 million in five years and still have a loss. , can continue to melt into capital, what do you want?
I think that every company has every problem, but how do you see financing difficulties and difficulties? China has a second comic actor financing 890 million? I don't think so much, at least not in our art world. I feel that it is more difficult to go with the way I choose. The mobile phone industry is still too heavy.
Reporter: You said at the press conference that the hammer currently has 2 million users. How much of this data is mobile phone sales?
Luo Yonghao: Basically, the sales of mobile phones are less than two million.
Reporter: You have a relatively negative statement before, saying that it will be possible for the hammer to seize an opportunity to become a giant when the next generation of computing platforms emerges. .. ..
Luo Yonghao: This is not a negative idea.
Reporter: But the message is that before the emergence of the next generation computing platform, the chance of the hammer entering the first echelon is not particularly large.
Luo Yonghao: I don't think that a company selling tens of millions of mobile phones is a special cow. It is not profitable to sell tens of millions of mobile phones in China. In the past, Apple and Samsung earned more than 90% of China's profits. Everyone just eats biscuit slag.
Let's just say, if one company once doubles a smartphone than Apple, it will always be a small apple. It’s like a genius, a great, unspeakable character from Jobs, who lost on a PC. There is a chance when the next generation platform.
If you can make a mobile phone or an industrial thing, if you can become a company of one or two billion yuan, it is not an unrealistic ambition. But if you become a company of one or two billion yuan, it is a big ambition. To achieve that, I don’t think it’s worth selling. Tens of millions of mobile phones can be implemented. It should be very difficult. You may have to do more and bigger things, so that is not a negative problem.
You only have a team that can do software, hardware, or even the underlying kernel, and store enough people, money, etc. to qualify for the next-generation platform revolution.
Reporter: For the hammer, is 2016 a mistake in strategy or a year of mistakes on the product?
Luo Yonghao: From a strategic point of view, you can think that every year is a mistake, because you cross the border too far, a lot of things to learn, keep going to the pit, this is the only way.
There is another one. If you are a business, the advice and warnings given to you by your predecessors will not help you to make mistakes. The only help is that you know that it is right after you made a mistake, and then verify it.
Anyway, I feel that if a person crosses the boundary, he basically wants to cross the river by feeling the stones, and evade those who have lost seven or eighty-eight. We have created these mistakes almost every year, but there are some things that have persisted, and there is still a pursuit.
I also said on the stage just now that if you just make a lot of money, there are a lot of such projects in the manufacturing industry. There are a lot of special flicker investments in the smart hardware. The ridiculous project estimates hundreds of millions of dollars. This is very common.
If you really want to do something that is really difficult to pursue, then I personally say that the most troublesome thing to do is to do a talk show, because the content is particularly valuable now, so I still want to do something that I really like.
Reporter: You said that M1 is a product of compromise. Will these comments have a negative impact on the brand?
Luo Yonghao: This is not the case. When the M series was released, I thought it was a particularly good product, but a relatively mediocre ID. We didn't say anywhere about how industrial design of M1 is, but I don't really agree that it is a product of compromise. It should be a product of disaster.
The meaning of this disaster is that you can guarantee that it can be realized in engineering. Some things originally designed can only be abandoned midway. Some big companies even cut the whole project. We can't afford such a loss, so we have to go through a project that has gone wrong. But it's not a matter of product, form or function. It's just that the ID is a very regrettable result from the design style we are pursuing.
Reporter: What does it mean to sign a contract with Mo Mo?
Luo Yonghao: We were very difficult at the time. I needed to get some money to keep the company moving forward, or else there would be problems with paying wages. Tang Yan of Mo Mo was originally a friend of mine, very helpful, but he is a listed company, and can't say how to give me money or how, so we discuss if I give them more than 50 live broadcasts, they think it is very valuable to them. The corresponding, also willing to pay a fee, can be prepaid, there is such an agreement.
Reporter: Can hammer technology be profitable this year?
Luo Yonghao: More than 95%, unless there are natural disasters and man-made disasters, normal should be no problem, because we have two projects that have not been announced, plus one piece, even if the mobile phone loses money, it should be able to fill this pit.
Reporter: Is there a sales target? Will this year be more difficult than last year?
Luo Yonghao: This is always difficult, but this year we are generally optimistic, because the number of product orders has exceeded our expectations. Involved in underwriting, group mining, strictly speaking 2B, that is, our sales cooperation with some institutions, has exceeded the production number of our original target, so achieving profit is basically not a special suspense.
Wu Dezhou: I add one sentence. I think that the same profit, there is no trick, it is open source and thrifty. We will start to take the online + offline sales model this year. We will start to cooperate with operators and big partners at the same time. This is a small company after all, from the current effect, we are still very confident to achieve profitability.
Reporter: I heard that the T series will not do it again?
Luo Yonghao: The T series will definitely do it. The nut Pro is actually the original T3. We have been forced to make it into a nut based on the comprehensive consideration of supply chain production. Now it looks good. This is actually Wu Dezhou’s decision. When we were in the meeting, we discussed whether we were holding the best ID in our hands to make a mid-range price, or doing something that was very profitable but selling hundreds of thousands. The result of the final discussion is to do this.
Reporter: It is rumored that Hammer and YunOS will have some cooperation. I don't know what state it is now?
Luo Yonghao: We really have cooperation with YunOS. We grafted the human interaction, UI interface, and some functional things of SmarTIsan OS to the YunOS kernel and then installed it on other mobile phones. This is the project we have been talking about and is working on, but at the time of this generation. It’s too late.
In the second half of the year, our products may have both YunOS version and Android version, but we are not mandatory in principle. However, in the YunOS version, because of the technology and data input from Ali, it is possible that the YunOS version is available. There will be more features than the Android version, and this event should have a result in the second half.
Reporter: Is the equity cooperation with Ali still continuing?
Luo Yonghao: There is no equity cooperation.
