This year's high-tech fair not only sets up LED and semiconductor lighting exhibition areas, but also other LED lighting, display and other products in other exhibition areas.
Shenzhen is well-positioned here. It is reported that there are more than 900 companies engaged in the research, development, production and sales of semiconductor lighting technology and products, accounting for 70% of the national total. Further exploration, it is not difficult to find that nearly half of them settled in Baoan, and the advantages of industrial agglomeration are obvious.
Baoan LED Enterprises, which was unveiled at the high-tech fairs such as Liad Optoelectronics, Chau Ming Electronics, Zhongyuan Technology and Deze Energy, are leading enterprises and well-known enterprises in the industry. Under the current situation, what do they think of the development of the industry? How many bottlenecks are there? What enlightenment does the development path give to the latecomers?
Evolving against the crisis
Reporter: In 2008, the financial crisis broke out completely. Enterprises have not yet completely emerged from the shadows. It seems that all industries feel chilly. LED is an emerging industry. Have you been affected?
Lu Caili: Liard did not feel the impact. On the contrary, our sales increased by more than 60%. We are still optimistic about this industry.
Wu Xinliang: Last year and this year, Chau Ming also grew against the trend. Last year, sales were about 250 million yuan. It will continue to grow this year and is expected to reach 400 million.
District Jiheng: Zhongyuan Technology mainly produces LED sheets, backlights and modules. Last year's sales were over 70 million, and this year will exceed 100 million.
Market prospects are still optimistic
Reporter: The growth rate is very high. Is this the general situation of the industry? We saw the data a few months ago. There are more than 700 enterprises in Shenzhen. Now it has reached more than 900. As a kind of “green lighting sourceâ€, it is heating up rapidly in a short time. Some people say that rapid expansion will lead to supply and demand. Unbalanced, causing a price war, what do you think?
Wu Xinliang: Most of the industry companies I know have grown. In the past two years, LEDs have indeed been very "hot", as evidenced by this exhibition, based on everyone's positive judgment on the future of this industry. Price war is related to demand, just like lakes are easily polluted, but the sea is difficult. Lighting is the basic needs of human beings. LED is recognized as the fourth generation of lighting technology. It is not only a technology but a full-scale Infiltrate our lives. Looking at it now, there is still a lot of room in the market.
Liu Wei: LED is a trend. Now there are many companies in the industry, but at the same time, the government is also supporting the development of this industry. It is in line with the major policy of energy conservation and emission reduction, and has a wide range of uses in family and municipal areas.
Industry standards need to be subdivided and unified
Reporter: The huge market demand has attracted thousands of manufacturers. What is the overall competitive advantage? Is there still a bottleneck?
Liu Wei: In the face of unlimited business opportunities, a variety of LED lamp manufacturers have emerged in the market, resulting in uneven product quality, which will affect the application and promotion of products.
Not long ago, Guangdong introduced the first local standard for LED street lamps in China, but this is not enough. At present, the standards related to the LED industry at home and abroad are only ordinary LED standards and lighting standards, and rarely involve the main components and technical processes of the LED industry. In terms of key performance, the standard of detection methods for corresponding indicators is also lacking.
For example, our main product high-power LED power supply, there is no unified standard, it will affect the efficiency of the use of the lamp, design a ten-year life, may actually be used for only one year. Another problem is the industry structure. Now the middle and downstream enterprises account for the vast majority, and the upstream enterprises are still too few. The country is still weak in this area, and the high-end direction such as chips needs to concentrate on development.
Focus on the segmentation area and look forward to the core breakthrough
Reporter: What are the issues that need to be paid attention to in our enterprises in Shenzhen and Baoan?
Wu Xinliang: As far as individual companies are concerned, it is very important to have core competitiveness. Behind the popularity of LEDs, there are also hidden problems. It is not difficult to find in comparison with developed countries. The fundamental factor that restricts the development of LED is technology, especially the backwardness of core technology is the fatal cause of the lack of market competitiveness of most enterprises in China.
Our screen will be on the Tiananmen parade, and will enter the Shanghai World Expo. It is a well-known enterprise in China, but this step is taken, with technical support behind it.
In addition, in the marketing model, we are collecting cash, so there will be customer loss, so we need a lot of determination, but the ultimate winner is the quality customer. So the goal is clear, with core technology and a unique sales model, these three are very important for LED companies.
Liu Wei: There are only a few core companies in each segment, such as our current LED driver power supply. In each segment, different companies have a lot of room for growth. In terms of core technologies, we are currently working with the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to look forward to a breakthrough.
District Jiheng: Peripheral products also need to be constantly updated, just like what we saw at the high-tech fair, we must keep up with the rhythm of industry development.
Build its own patent system
Reporter: Some people say that LED is similar to the past home appliances, especially like the DVD industry, which will face the danger of sharply increasing production and falling prices. In addition, in terms of intellectual property rights, core technologies are controlled by enterprises in Germany, the United States, and Japan. Our company Are you facing patent concerns?
Wu Xinliang: Lack of core technology, no high-performance and high-quality upstream products, it is easy to be blocked by patents, and exports are restricted, especially downstream enterprises. But LED and DVD industry have significant differences, one is the market capacity just mentioned, and the other is that LED has more technical variables than DVD. At present, we have not encountered the problem of “infringementâ€. However, with the continuous development of the industry, we also need to establish our own patent system, both domestic and international, which is also the protection of ourselves.
Based on local expansion market
Reporter: As far as I know, some companies are not here. They choose to base themselves on Shenzhen Baoan to expand the market. What are the main reasons? What suggestions are there for the development of the industry in this region?
Lu Caili: We came to Baoan from Beijing. Now LED screen production is basically here. First, because the industry is concentrated here, production and investment are more convenient. Second, it gives us a good platform for us to learn from each other and promote each other. Third, it also provides convenience to buyers. In Shenzhen, they can do one-stop shopping.
Wu Xinliang: Take our company as an example. There may be more than 1,000 supporting enterprises in the surrounding area. Among them, more than 80% can be taken locally, which is impossible in other places. In addition, if in the field, the supply speed of enterprises is significantly slower, affecting the delivery period, which will inevitably affect the core competitiveness of enterprises.
Now the country has launched the "Ten Cities and Ten Thousand Miles" LED energy-saving plan, the first 21 cities have been included in the national support plan, and 42 cities have been included in the plan. Our company is also fortunate to be a dizzy
With the continuous development of LED technology, the cost will fall, and the price bottleneck will further break through. At that time, this market will further uncover the shackles, and LED will enter thousands of households. We will spare no effort to invest and accept challenges, and contribute more to the industry and the regional economy. At the same time, we hope to receive more support from the government.

Medium Voltage Unarmored Cable
Medium voltage unarmored cable is a type of Power Cable used for transmitting electrical energy at voltages ranging from 8.7kV to 15kV. It is designed for use in various applications such as industrial, commercial, and residential buildings, as well as in outdoor environments.
Medium voltage unarmored cable is made up of a copper or aluminum conductor, an insulating layer, and an outer sheath. The conductor is usually stranded to allow for flexibility and to reduce the risk of breakage. The insulating layer is made of a material such as XLPE or EPR which provides excellent electrical insulation and resistance to heat and moisture.
The outer sheath is made of PVC or PE which provides protection against mechanical damage, moisture, and chemicals. Unarmored cables do not have any metallic armor or shielding, which makes them lighter and more flexible than armored cables.
Medium voltage unarmored cables are suitable for a wide range of applications including underground and overhead power transmission, distribution, and substation connections. They are also used in renewable energy systems such as wind and solar power plants.
In summary, medium voltage unarmored cables are a reliable and cost-effective solution for transmitting electrical energy over medium distances. They are designed to meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance, and are widely used in various industries and applications.
