With the theme of oil and extending the city's dream, the Shanghai World Expo Oil Pavilion will let the audience experience a time-space journey full of fantasy. This morning, the design of the oil pavilion of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo jointly invested by three oil companies was officially released and a groundbreaking ceremony was held, which kicked off the construction.
Huang Shuhe, deputy director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and Zhong Yanqun, full-time deputy director of the Shanghai World Expo Executive Committee, attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
The oil hall is jointly built by China Petroleum, Sinopec and CNOOC. It will create an experience effect through fantasy content together with sound, light, electricity and 3D images. The oil pavilion uses PC board and LED background light source on the four sides as the exterior skin of the building, covering an area of ​​3,600 square meters. This is the first domestically-used PC board with such a large area as the outer skin of the building. It is also the first time to use such a large-area LED background light source. The pipes of one root and the other are woven together, symbolizing the beautiful vision of the oil and petrochemical industry's vigorous and sustainable development. Under the night, the pavilion will present a crystal clear, colorful and beautiful light and shadow effect.
The layout of the exhibition hall is divided into three parts: the pre-exhibition area, the main exhibition area and the tail exhibition area. The main exhibition area uses 3D cinema to fully interpret the oil and extend the theme of the city's dream. The pavilion is expected to be completed by the end of February 2010.
