The Ministry of Information Industry of the People's Republic of China promulgated the Measures for the Administration of Pollution Control of Electronic Information Products. The "Administrative Measures" stipulates that electronic information products sold in the Chinese market shall meet the following requirements: environmentally-friendly materials, technologies and processes shall be adopted in accordance with national standards or industry standards for pollution control of electronic information products in production processes and materials; Indicate the safe use period of the product, the name and content of the toxic and hazardous substances and the label for its recycling; the packaging should be made of harmless and easy to recycle materials, and indicate the name of the packaging materials; limit and prohibit electronic information products The use of toxic and hazardous substances in the form of catalogue management, for electronic information products listed in the key management catalogue of pollution control, the product should not contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), The above six toxic and hazardous substances such as polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE); for the toxic and harmful substances contained in the product can not be completely replaced, the content of toxic and hazardous substances must meet the requirements of national standards or industry standards for pollution control of electronic information products; The pollution control key management catalogue will develop water according to actual conditions and science and technology. Products involved include: electronic radar products, electronic communication products, radio and television products, computer products, home electronics, electronic measuring instruments, electronic special products, electronic components, electronic applications, electronic materials and other products.

The management method is scheduled to be approved on December 31, 2005, and will be implemented on July 1, 2006.

In addition, it should be noted that the "Administrative Measures" apply to the production, sale and import of electronic information products within the territory of the People's Republic of China, but does not include the production of electronic information products directly for export, and the sales indicate the original The behavior of the producer's electronic information products. For electronic information products produced for export, the relevant regulations of the exporting country should be followed.
