The LTC2756 is an 18-bit multiplying serial input, current output digital-to-analog converter. Complete 18-bit performance (±1LSB INL and DNL maximum) over the entire temperature range without any adjustments. All performance levels are guaranteed to be 18-bit monotonic.

The SoftSpanTM DAC operates from a single 3V to 5V supply and offers six output ranges (up to ±10V) that can be set via a 3-wire SPI serial interface, or pin-bonded for use in one output range Operation.

The contents of any on-chip registers (including the DAC output range setpoint) can be read to complete verification in just one instruction cycle; and, if you change the contents of the registers, the changed registers will be in the next instruction cycle. It is automatically read back.

In addition, the device provides voltage-controlled offset and gain adjustment; moreover, both the power-on reset circuit and the CLR pin reset the DAC output to 0V, regardless of the output range.

18-bit settling time: 2.1μs
2.7V to 5.5V Single Supply Operation Constant Voltage Control for All Code Reference Currents The offset and gain trimming serial interface for all register readback functions is cleared to 0V and power-on reset to 0V (this is independent of the output range)
