Cree introduces a new LED module with EasyWhite technology

Cree, a leading manufacturer of led lighting, has introduced a new LED module, the LMR4, which uses Cree's EasyWhite technology and has a wide range of color temperature options. The extensive product portfolio of LMR4 demonstrates Cree's efforts to accelerate the adoption of LED lighting modules by simplifying the design process and shortening the time available for new LED lighting fixtures. As Cree plans to develop LED lighting products, lighting manufacturers will now have more options.

Cree's LMR4 module features the unique EasyWhite technology and integrates drive electronics, optics and thermal management, making this compact and easy-to-integrate module fast to market. When the power of the product is only 12W, its service life can reach 35000 hours, while the optional correlated color temperature (CCT) range is 2700K, 3000K, 3500K and 4000K, and the color rendering index (CRI) is 80.

Currently, Cree's LMR4 LED module with EasyWhite technology is available in volume production and can be delivered during normal delivery times. The copper is the circuits material and the circuits designed by the PCB designers. Depends on the current in the circuits, the PCB copper thickness could be done with 0.5oz-10oz. But the PCB designers need be noted that the copper track width/space need be enlarged with the thickness. For example, the minimum copper track width/space could be 3mil/3mil with 0.5oz, but would be 4mil/4mil with 1oz.

 

The PCB board could be rigid PCB, could be flex PCB and also could be Flex-Rigid PCB. And the materials could be FR4, PI, Aluminum, Copper-based, Rogers, Teflon, etc. They have different applications. For example, FR4 PCB is the most commonly used for rigid PCB and almost good for all electronics products; PI is the most commonly used for flex PCB; Aluminum and copper-based have good thermal diffusivity and always used for LED PCB ; Rogers PCB and Teflon PCB are always used for High Frequency PCB, etc.
